A while back I laid out some of our thoughts around how to price our service (Pricing is Hard. We Need Your Help). And, we got A LOT of really insightful and helpful feedback. I’m now pleased to announce Keen IO’s pricing is live!
Building a platform presents us with a number of different features on which we could modulate pricing. And, I have to admit, an early pricing model I put together looked more like a Rube Goldberg machine than anything remotely actionable. It did catch a mouse, though. Regardless, it was a good exercise in thinking about some of the most salient features that matter to developers. In the end, we opted for simplicity.
So, check it out and let us know if we missed the mark. And, if you’re looking to track millions of events (you should!), don’t be discouraged. Get in touch with us. We want to learn about your work, and we’ll put together a plan for you.

Oh, and fun fact about work that was thankfully ignored. I wanted to build pricing plans such that I could name them after the people on US currency. “Benny Frank” would be our $100/month tier, “Big Willy” would be our $500/month tier, and (my favorite) “Fist Full of Grovers” for our Enterprise tier. It’s best I lose sometimes.
